15 Feb Sung Kang’s “FuguZ”
Sung Kang’s 240Z “FuguZ” is one of those rare halo projects that every manufacturer wants to be a part of. With the plan being to build a one of a kind car, Kang’s team set about sourcing parts. The car was built from the ground up, and when it came time to consider the interior, it was then that CarbonSignal got involved. Having worked on many custom projects in the past, and with a deep rooted love for everything “Z”, work began on creating an entirely custom interior for this one off vehicle. Capturing the essence of all Z cars, the dashboard incorporates the central tri-gauge cluster. Beautifully trimmed in Alcantara, the dash houses custom gauges emblasened with the FuguZ mark, true attention to detail. The seats echo the original 240Z seats, with the metal ring vents. However the new perches are race inspired fixed-recline bucket seats. Again the FuguZ mark appears embroidered on the seat backs, truely tying the interior of this car together. The result is a space that is completely custom built, but yet feels as though it all belongs together.
Since working on this project CarbonSignal have been working on a new line of aftermarket parts for the 240Z, so stay tuned for more information.
